What Is The Invisalign Process?

Initial Consultation

At this first visit, Dr. Novak will assess your situation and goals to determine whether Invisalign is the best option for you. If so, we will take digital photographs and x-rays of your teeth to help us map out your Invisalign treatment plan.

Customized Treatment Plan

Using 3-D digital images of your mouth, our team will plan the stages of your tooth movement and to custom design a series of aligners that will straighten your teeth by degrees. She will show you a virtual image of the results you can expect, and then assist you in reaching that outcome.

Alignment Process

You will switch your Invisalign aligner about every two weeks for a new aligner that is molded specifically to shift your teeth to the next mapped out location. The number of aligners will vary depending on your situation, however the average treatment generally involves 20-30 aligners per arch. Periodically you will come in to receive the next set of aligners and to mark your progress towards achieving the smile you have always wanted.
