Dr. Novak began her dental career working with her family dentist during high school and college. She attended Luther college, receiving her B.A. in nursing. While working as an R.N. in pediatric oncology at the U of M Hospitals, she returned to dental school. She graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1985 and has maintained a general family practice in the western suburbs for over 30 years.
Dr. Novak is a member of the ADA, MDA and voted "Top Dentist" multiple times in the Mpls-St. Paul Magazine. She volunteered in Give Kids a Smile program.
Dr. Novak resides in Minnetonka with her husband, Kenny. She has three grown children. Time outside of dentistry is spent with family and friends and revolves around sports and cabin life.
Originally from Hanover, Minnesota, Dr. Kirsten Johnson received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Biology and Art History from St. Olaf College. She then attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and graduated with distinction.
Dr. Johnson strives to provide quality dental care in a gentle and nonjudgmental manner. She takes pride in helping patients achieve their personal dental goals. Dr. Johnson is committed to continuing education and staying up to date with the latest technology that dentistry has to offer. Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Away from the practice, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her husband and one-year-old son. She has a passion for international travel and experiencing new things. Other interests include reading, crafting, camping, hiking, and checking out restaurants in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area. She looks forward to serving the patients of Novak Family Dentistry.
